This bag is perfect for starters. I just got a Canon Rebel DSLR and the bag is great for all that I need to put in it for now.
The dividers inside are velcro so they can be moved around and/or removed for ease of organizing.
There are quite a few pockets to store extra batteries, card readers, mini tripods, battery charger an extra lens etc.

It is bigger than the picture, and I did fit my canon d1000, a 75-300 lens plus a fish eye lens and sometimes I put my digital video recorder, everything well organized and they fell secure, I did run under the rain one day and I was a little worried water liking inside, but every stay clean and dry.

The Canon bag is great for larger cameras and accesories like lenses, flashes and filters. It is well constructed and well padded to protect the investment I have in my camera. The velcro dividers are well padded and make customizing the interior of the case simple with endless alternatives to accomodate your needs. The shoulder strap is wide enough and well padded to make carrying it comfortable. The front and side compartments are large and handy to store camera accessories as well as personal items for day trips. It holds all my accesories and still had room for me to pack in some trail snack for us on our Colorado vacation. Very well made and I feel a great value for the money. Would not hesitate to buy it again.

I love the case. I tried to find something negative so this review did not sound like a marketing broucure, but I could not find one. I suppose someone looking for a color other than black would consider that an issue. Canon does subscribe to the Henry Ford school of color…”give ‘em any color they want as long as it is black.” For all the features and convenience this case offers I would have expected the price to be a lot higher. It is a real value at the price.

The bag is well constructed. Zippers work smoothly, clips are made of heavy duty plastic. I do not feel that this will wear out quickly and I put it through quite a bit with the type of photography that I do.

The main compartment is also good for my Nikon D50, 2 lenses and a speedlight, and maybe a little extra room. It has a meshs zip compartment for SD/CF cards. The side compartments are big enough for a battery charger, extra batteries, cleaning supplies, USB cords…whatever you need. The top covers the bag well and protects it from the elements. I love the fact that you can pick it up by the strap and the lid stays covering the bag, even if the clips aren’t fastened.

All in all perfect for my use…I just needed a safe place for my camera and a way to tote it around with me.

If you need a bigger bag than what you have, but don’t need 4 lenses with you at all times, this is a great bag.

This weekend, I Got my hands on one of these babies for a no-budget short film. Loved it. So easy to use, and the picture is great. It’s true, the finished look is not “cinematic”, which is a
fair criticism, but for the price it is great if you’re looking to upgrade to a high-def digital picture. Watched the playback on a 16:9 widescreen TV before editing and it was beautiful. However, you can’t rely on the auto-functions. Tried using auto-focus and auto-iris at the start, but ended up doing both manually for the most part. A small complaint considering a real filmmaker shouldn’t be using them anyway. Otherwise, a great camera.

This is my first “prosumer” camcorder I ever owned and I love it. The color reproduction is phenomenal and has great features. A few caveats may scare away people looking for something more, but this is more of a VERY HIGH END consumer item. Not for the novice, but someone with more shooting talent than the average person. If you want a TRUE HD professional camera, spend 15+ grand and stop knocking this one.

A bother to me was that regular mini-dv can record in true 16:9 mode. While the HD mode is anamorphic 4:3. (Stretched to fit 16:9) The wide-angle lens can fix that for about $500 more.
But if you are transferring to regular DVD’s, you can still shoot mini DV widescreen because DVD doesn’t record in HD.

So, unless you are transferring to HD DVD, like blu-ray, you have the BEST consumer/prosumer widescreen camcorder available.
Rated at about 3lux, low light doesn’t harm this baby much. I find the accessories can be pricey too, but that is the cost you pay when you go prosumer. Everything else is for beginners and amateurs.

I have been using the DCRVX 1000 for over 10 years and it has done well. However, the FX1 is so far superior in every way. The only feature I miss is the “overlap”. So far, the color, the detail, the feel (a bit heavier than the VX1000) are even better than I expected. HD is as close to reality as possible. I have 2 weddings that I will soon record, and I feel confident that the FX1 will perform without fail. I recommend this camcorder for the very serious videographer. It is priced $2 thousand less than the VX1000 sold for in “96 at $5 thousand. Technology has improved while costs have fallen. A good buy at 3 grand.

Camera is way better than the sony HC1. Night shooting is great and colors appear natural and there is not much noise or smudging of colors. Would recommend it in a heartbeat. My 37 inch 1980×1080 LCD becomes an window when I hook up this camera to it.

This Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG is the best ever cost-to-value product that Canon came up with. I compared this backpack to similar Tamrac and Lowepro backpacks.

My huge LowePro Nova 5AW always hurt my shoulder and back when I carry it around with all my stuff in which is so much. I saw the Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG and I immediately ordered one after reading many good reviews about it. I am really impressed with the huge amount of equipment it holds and how it is easily modifiable for your particular needs. It was half the price of my old LowePro bag. Its very well designed and constructed with lots of compartments, zippers, external straps, protective padding and quality materials. I carry the following items in this bag and it still had more room to go, I carry in this bag Canon 20D with the 28-135IS Lens attached, charger for the BP-511, charger for the BP-511, Firewire CF reader, a lens cleaning kit (small 5x7x1 box), four bp-511-type batteries, Hoya filter packs (3 boxes) for the 18-55, a 380EX flash, 50mm/1.8 mkI lens, 300D/Digital Rebel Body with the battery grip attached, Tiffen filter essentials for the giant 28-135 lens, ) table top tripod, 18-55 EF lens, a bunch of ends and odds like a flat level, the Rebel wired remote, etc.

External compartments of this Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG hold everything else such as chargers, cables, spare battery packs etc. It has got straps for carrying all kinds of stuff. On the bottom, It has other straps to carry my tripod which my old bag did not have. There is one empty front pocket and a spot in the compartments and plenty of room in the pockets, Not to mention, I can easily put cell phone and its charger in the side compartment and one Parodis pack or even two in the other side.

The best thing for me I found in this bag is that the camera is easy to retrieve when I pack it in the bag and it is ready to shoot. So I can have my 20D camera ready to go with the lens 28-135 IS hood on it. Unlike some other backpacks that require you to open the bag completely, this bag can have the camera located exactly near the opening so all I need to do is just move the zipper and the camera can easily slide out. For me, this is a big plus to the Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG design because I do not have to reveal the entire contents of my bag to everyone to get the camera out. Instead I can retrieve the camera alone where no one sees what else is inside there and the camera all ready to shoot.

The flap/cover which zips open of this bag has both exterior and interior pockets. The external portion of the flap/cover has a compartment that zips horizontally across the mid portion of the flap/cover and it also has a zipper and when opening it follows a semicircular pattern . Again, there is much of storage space in these pockets. There are two mesh pockets with zippers on the inside of this flap. There is ample space to store all flash cards, manual, batteries, or whatever. It has the same width and length similar to the compartment that contains all the camera equipment I specified.

There are two smaller pockets of this Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG that have a zelcro attachment on the side of the bag. I place lens cleaning equipment and cleaning cloths in these pockets. On the bottom of the bag, there are straps that allow you to attach your tripod, the tripod is held securely and doesn’t bounce against you while you are walking. There are straps which connect across your waist and chest to aid in weight distribution. I prefer the waist straps to the chest straps. The shoulder straps make toting the bag extremely comfortable as they are thick and well padded. Fit and finish appears well done and with high quality.

To share with you my buying experience, After lengthy research I ordered it from Amazon and in just a few days after placing my order they shipped it to me. Amazon’s current price (around $41 at time of writing) is a steal and I could never find this price in any other website after my research before buying it as I found that their price can surely never be beaten and also why I chose Amazon is that I found this item to be eligible for free shippping with their super saver shipping service which saved me some extra bucks!

Wow!!! I am really impressed with this Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG! And to top it all off, Not only is the bag very comfortable when loaded with all that mess of stuff in the bag , but the zippers also operate very easily. I walk around very comfortably unlike many other backpacks.

For me, this bag is a no-brainer and it is absolutely worth it even at the list price but at the markdown price, I would say it is undoubtedly a steal. I saved around $100 compared to similarly styled and sized bags from Tamrac and Lowepro.

Finally, if you are looking for a backpack that outperforms other backpacks in all its features and is a good bargain for the money and have a limited budget, then check out the lowest price you can get for Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG with super saver shipping service. Don’t miss out this backpack and waste your money on others as they won’t allow you to carry as much equipment and stuff as possible in a comfortable manner. If you are looking for another review on this backpack then check out another Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG review!
