Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones provide excellent and astonishing sound especially for a very cheap price where you can rarely find headphones with that excellent quality. I definitely don’t have any complaints with the quality of these amazing headphones and I would put it at the top of the list when comparing it to the others in the market especially because they are from a company I can trust which I have always had highly satisfactory experience with and I knew Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones wouldn’t be of any poor quality as these headphones were specifically designed for DJs.

I was looking for a set of ear phones that were very comfortable, had optimum sound fidelity, light weight, and a long cord so I can be totally comfortable away from my stereo, and effectively able to block outside sounds or noise. My main motivation for purchasing these earphones was so that I could clearly listen to opera and precisely hear the phrases and I wanted earphones to achieve all this with a very low price I can get in the range of $20 to $30 which I found in Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones.

I hate anything pressing on my head and same time I hate small earphones which go into the ear as I always find them very uncomfortable and this has been always the case with me when trying other earphones before purchasing Sennheiser HD202.

I thought the earpiece seemed somehow small for the first time I saw them, but they covered my ear fully. Even though I have a very large head, I haven’t felt that they are tight at all or any discomfort even when wearing them for several hours as they are very light-weight too that you really can’t feel anything pressing on your head when wearing them even for long time.

The sound is crystal clear with all portable devices I’ve used Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones with and there was no buzzing or static when listening to all sorts of music types. While listening to music, the singer inhaling or soft noise like hands moving over strings on a guitar become audible. Anything like classical or acoustic is really so clear that I could imagine myself being there live and even with better quality!

Sound fidelity with these earphones is so excellent. My listening spectrum is broad, ranging from classical, indies, chansons francaises, operas, jazz, psychedelic, old rock, HD202 performed satisfactorily in every genre I have tried through and I was very surprised how great these sound. I was even able to hear parts of instruments and music that I had never experienced at all before. This was true especially with opera, classical, and jazz.

This Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones is one of the best and most effective noise-cancelling headphones I have ever used being closed design as it blocks out annoying environmental sounds and ambient noise very effectively even in noisy subways, and I do not have to turn the volume up very loud and blast my ears in order to block out the noise of the train when listening to music. Sometimes I could not even hear people when they were yelling at me even with music very low. Although you can certainly increase the volume to maximum and blast your ears without being worried about noise leak or disturbing people near to you as they won’t be able to hear or understand what is being played.

I also use the Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones for listening to my iPod because the ability of the headphones to provide isolation from outside noise and annoyance is highly effective and it is of utmost importance factors when I consider it for traveling purpose and the HD202 excels in that functionality as noise is totally blocked away while you are using them, I found that HD202 performs unexpectedly well for headphones especially in this low price range that I could never find any headphones that come any close to its high-performing features.

That’s exactly what I though when I first saw Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones on Amazon. How can the makers of $500+ headphones (HD650) sell headphones for $20? At first I thought it was a marketing tactic to penetrate the low end market with sub-standard headphones.

I was wrong!

These headphones are just what you would expect from Sennheiser! Crisp clear sound, full-bodied bass, razor sharp trebles, and mellow mid-ranges. From a style point of view, they are sexy. In fact, I think these Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones make you look more sophisticated than the $500 HD650 that makes you look a little like Princess Leia. Bold matte black finish with leather-like (for this price you didn’t expect REAL leather did you?) ear pads. The brand “SENNHEISER” proudly shows on the outside of the head-band. I could wear these in a public setting and I bet NOBODY would guess they’re $20 headphones!

These headphones represent the best money I have spent on music in the past 12 month – and I buy CD’s every week. I have always used earbuds and thought they sounded good – what a mistake – its like the difference between dipping your toe in a muddy puddle and swimming in the Ocean.

The reason I chose Sennheiser is their reputation amongst professional Sound Engineers, DJ’s and Audiophiles – they have always been a little out of my league price wise until I found these. .

Well, the first thing I noticed…these Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones are wicked comfortable. Your ears do stick out a bit around the side but in my opinion that’s good because these things aren’t huge like you’d expect. They block noise really well, with music pretty low I couldn’t even hear my dad yelling at me! AWESOME! Sound fidelity is excellent. The sound quality of these babies are nothing short of stunning. I can now hear things in my music that I could never hear before. The bass response is awesome with warm mids and rich and the treble is crisp; even Sousa (lots of high and low “siss! boom! bah!” going on at once) is no match for them. Bass is also strong but never strong enough to rattle or distort. The midtones are there and the higher pitches are there not too loud, with no hiss. These are excellent headphones and their pads allow for a lot of isolation from outsides sounds, seriously it’s hard to hear what happens around me. The cord length is great because it includes this little clip you can wrap the extra cord in and clip it to a belt loop or something, but when you need the length you just unravel it.

After reading several reviews about Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones, I did something I usually don’t do – I ordered a pair of these headphones without listening to them first. I have ordered earphones (the expensive in your ear kind) and was disappointed in both cases. I returned each of them. But these babies are just what I was looking for. I use them with my iPod. I also have a pair of the very expensive Sennheiser HD600 headphones, and while they are more open and more accurate (for 22 times the price they should be!!); I was very surprised how great these sound. When I got these, I thought the earpiece seemed a bit small, but they covered the ear fully, and after using them for a while, I didn’t even notice that. I have a very large head, and I have not felt that these are tight at all; in fact I have worn them for several hours, with no discomfort at all. These Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones are very light-weight too!! I have trusted the Sennheiser name for years, and these continue to enforce with me that the trust I have in the Sennheiser name is not unfounded. If you want a pair of headphones that has strong, clean bass, and great sounding mids and highs These headphones are a good bargain for the money and have a limited budget, you can’t find a better set for under $30 with these high-tech feartures and specs. get these babies!! You will not be disappointed!!
